BLENDED LEARNING

Blended Learning Workshops begin with participants completing one or more training modules that explore unconscious bias at both individual and systemic levels. These modules introduce strategies to reduce bias and remove barriers faced by people from diverse backgrounds, ensuring all participants share a foundational understanding of the topic before the live session.

Following the self-paced learning, participants engage in a live, facilitated discussion—either in person or virtually—that deepens their understanding through reflection and dialogue. These sessions create a safe, open space to address sensitive issues related to diversity and inclusion, encouraging honest conversations among hiring teams, managers, and staff. Facilitators guide participants through a process of awareness-building and next steps tailored to the specific needs and culture of your workplace.

“I was expecting this training to be more ‘fluff’ and not get into the real nuts and bolts of the topic. However, my expectations were far exceeded with this excellent program. The strength of this training is that Lila Kelly has researched diversity and how it shows up in job interviews and impacts work performance. The examples are real and not some made-up possibilities. There are many practical and applicable gems in this training, along with quizzes that help make it a challenge and offer a chance to review one’s learning.”    ―Gwen, Administrator, University of Minnesota

“I attended the Diversity Hiring Workshop, and the discussions were lively, thought-provoking, and timely.  The information I received was inspiring, as I got to see how unconscious biases could be lurking in my interviewing performances.  I was also able to learn from the training modules how the applicants can sometimes feel, which gave me a greater appreciation and more empathy. It was an enjoyable and eye-opening experience!”    ―Tassa Nelson, Human Resources Generalist, CommonBond Communities, St. Paul, MN
